DAY 1: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya
Arrive in Nairobi, where you are met and transferred to your hotel.
DAY 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy | Intimate Luxury Camp
Begin your luxury safari adventure with a drive from Nairobi to Nanyuki, crossing the equator as you go. Continue to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private reserve encompassing 90,000 acres of unspoiled African landscape where the Big Five roam, and arrive at your stunning tented camp in time for lunch. Nestled among fever trees in the shadow of Mount Kenya, Sanctuary Tambarare in Laikipia looks out across a grassy plateau. Your tent is large and airy, with a private veranda and an en-suite bathroom that features a walk-in shower.
DAY 3: Ol Pejeta Conservancy | Into the Bush
Set out on a morning game drive highlighted by an up-close visit with the world’s last northern white rhino in their heavily guarded enclosure. Afterward, take a late afternoon game drive in this biodiverse home to black rhino, Grévy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe.
DAY 4: Ol Pejeta Conservancy | Design Your Day
This morning, enjoy your choice of activity including a Guided Bush Walk accompanied by a ranger, getting up close to life in the African bush; Interact with the Dogs of an Anti-Poaching Unit and test their skills, as you hide and let them sniff you out; or Meet the Neighbors Community Interaction and see firsthand the work the conservancy undertakes. Later this afternoon, head out on a game drive, followed by dinner in camp.
DAY 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve | Wildlife Abounding
Fly to the Masai Mara Game Reserve and your private tented camp, set in a secluded location in the heart of the wilderness. This afternoon, set out on a game drive that introduces you to the Masai Mara. The action never seems to stop, and the chain of command begins with the Mara’s lion population, the largest in the country. The delicate ecosystem of the Mara is the focus of a major conservation effort to preserve one of Africa’s last true game strongholds. During your time in the Masai Mara, enjoy the peace of mind that comes with staying at luxurious, all-new A&K Exclusive Mara Camp. This afternoon, Ride Like a Local on your first Mara game drive.
DAY 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve | Endless Discovery
On morning and afternoon game drives, observe crocodile basking in the sun, hippo wallowing in muddy water, elephant rustling along the forest edge and graceful giraffe snatchings leaves from high branches. Between drives, return to camp for a Chef ’s Table experience featuring a cooking demonstration and tasting of local dishes before lunch.
DAY 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve | Exclusive School Visit
Set out on morning and afternoon game drives, with the option to visit a Maasai village. On an A&K-exclusive experience, stop at a local school on the edge of the Mara to see a LifeStraw Water Filter that purifies water for teachers and students — like the ones funded by each departure of this journey — a project supported by Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy. Enjoy a refreshing Scenic Sundowner before your farewell dinner.
DAY 8: Depart Nairobi
Fly to Nairobi, where you relax in a reserved dayroom before transferring to the airport for your departing flight.

Meaning ‘head of the elephant’ in Kiswahili, &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is set on a private concession leased from Maasai landlords. Lying at the base of the Oloololo Escarpment just below the area where Out of Africa’s most famous scene was shot, the camp overlooks the plains of the Masai Mara with game frequently viewed in front of the camp. The location, on a private concession not only has some of the best views in the Mara, but enables guests to take part in activities such as walks and night drives that are not available in the national reserve.
